Our story
A tradition of considered design and careful making
Artisan Kitchens UK began as a small joinery studio with a simple aim: to make kitchens that serve families beautifully and endure for generations. Over the years our atelier has grown while retaining a workshop-first culture. Each project is rooted in proportion and practical craft; designs evolve from listening closely to clients and understanding the architecture of their homes. We favour honest materials and restrained detailing so that a kitchen ages with dignity and remains adaptable to changing needs.
Craftsmanship and technique
Our makers combine traditional joinery with modern workshop processes. Cabinet frames are assembled using tried-and-tested techniques, edges are hand-sanded and finishes are applied in controlled conditions to ensure consistency. Attention to detail is evident in small, considered decisions: concealed joints, reinforced supports in high-use areas and cabinetry designed for serviceable longevity. We balance machine precision with hand finishing so each piece reads as both exact and tactile.
Materials and sustainability
We carefully select materials for beauty and durability. Sustainable hardwoods, responsibly sourced veneers and long-wearing finishes are preferred. For stone surfaces we partner with UK and European suppliers who can demonstrate responsible extraction and transport. Where possible we specify low-VOC finishes and recyclable components. Longevity is the most sustainable choice: a well-made kitchen that lasts avoids repeated replacements and reduces lifetime environmental impact.
Our team
Our collective includes designers, senior joiners and installation specialists who work collaboratively from concept to handover. Each project is assigned a dedicated client contact, and our installation teams maintain high tolerance standards to achieve a seamless finish. We invest in training and workshop tooling so our craft remains current while rooted in tradition.
